VasoCore Medical is a Canadian medical device company building the next generation of monitoring technology for cardiac arrest and critical care. We are working on a problem the field has long recognized but lacked the tools to properly study.
Sudden cardiac arrest kills more than half a million people across North America each year. Despite decades of refinement in chest compression technique, drug protocols, and post‑arrest care, outcomes from out‑of‑hospital arrest have barely moved.
The field has not ignored the problem. It has lacked the tools to study it. During an active resuscitation, clinicians still have almost no objective, real‑time information about whether what they are doing is working. We think that measurement gap is the problem worth solving.
VasoCore was founded by clinicians and engineers working at the intersection of point-of-care monitoring, signal processing, and resuscitation science. We are deliberately small, deliberately quiet, and deliberately focused on a single question.
Our work is supported by partnerships with academic and clinical collaborators across British Columbia and is pursued under Health Canada and FDA regulatory frameworks appropriate to class II and class III medical devices.
Led by practicing emergency physicians with direct experience in resuscitation and point‑of‑care diagnostics.
Built alongside experts in miniaturized sensing, embedded systems, and medical signal processing.
Designed from day one around the pathways that turn a clinical insight into a deployable medical device.
